The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is suitable for people responsible for development and training of individuals and groups, and for those with responsibility for the development of assessment tools and procedures within a workplace learning environment. This qualification will enable participants to develop the competencies required to perform the role of a skilled trainer, facilitator and assessor in the workplace and/or a VET environment.

Certificate IV Training and Assessment

The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is suitable for people responsible for development and training of individuals and groups, and for those with responsibility for the development of assessment tools and procedures within a workplace learning environment. This qualification will enable participants to develop the competencies required to perform the role of a skilled trainer, facilitator and assessor in the workplace and/or a VET environment.

While there are no explicit entry requirements for TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, learners are expected to enter the qualification from an area of vocational competence which they will practise as a trainer or assessor (or be currently developing this vocational competence). There are underlying language and literacy skill requirements and it is assumed that the learner has oral and written language and communication skills at a level that enables them to undertake the units.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

In order to participate as a learner in this Certificate IV TAA language and literacy skills are required. Learners require a range of high literacy skills to participate in training for this qualification. For example: -
1)Ability to collect, analyse and organise extensive written and verbal information.
2)Ability to access a range of sources of written information including;
-Legislation
-Workplace documentation e.g. Policy and Procedures
-Codes of Practice
-National industry standards
-Training packages
3)Verbal Communication skills including (but not limited to), ability to:-
-Facilitate in a range of learning environments
-Discuss issues, ask questions, give instructions and feedback and receive feedback.
4)Written skills including but not limited to;
-Writing reports, training programs, session plans, individual learner plans, summarising evaluations and developing written learner activities and assessments.
