Employability Skills: “Becoming a Worker” is an employment preparation course. It is designed for people who need to develop or enhance their employability skills and is ideally suited to disadvantaged jobseekers including young people, mature age jobseekers and people with disabilities. This course is registered on the Centrelink Course Approval Data Base and participants may qualify for the Pensioners Education Supplement (P.E.S). Essentra’s identification number for Centrelink purposes is 2P509.
 

The package is VETAB accredited, having been developed and delivered over a period of seven years. It is referenced to the Mayer Key Employment Competencies, the fourteen key work skills areas identified by Riches (Riches V. “Standards of Work Performance” Sydney: MacLennon & Petty, 1993) and based on the experiences of Essential Personnel, a specialised employment agency.
